Wandering the Streets of Montmarte by Ciara Moore
Budding photographers studying languages were able to put their talents to the test as part of the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies (SOCLAS) Year Abroad photo competition.
The competition involves students who have been on a year abroad submitting photographs that summarise their year in another country. Students visit destinations such as France and Spain and further afield in Brazil and Peru with the aim of developing valuable language skills and in-depth knowledge of that country’s culture.
The winning photograph entitled ‘Wandering the Streets of Montmartre’ was taken by Ciara Moore, an Engineering and French Laws with French student.
The competition was sponsored by retailer Aldi.
