The co-founder of the Pain Relief Foundation at Aintree and the Pain Research Institute at Walton Hospital has been honoured by the City of Liverpool.
Neurologist Dr David Bowsher, received the Citizen of Honour award after devoting his life to treating chronic pain, teaching hundreds of medical students and becoming the UK’s leading authority on treating chronic pain.
The pain clinic sees more than 3,000 patients each year.
