New accolade for University geographer

Professor Andreas Lang from the Earth’s Changing Environment research group in the School of Environmental Sciences has been elected Geomorphology Division President 2011-2013 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU).

The EGU is an interdisciplinary association dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in geosciences and planetary and space sciences for the benefit of humanity.  Andreas, who holds a Chair in Physical Geography at the University, will start his term as Division President at the end of the EGU General Assembly in April.
