A Professor from the School of Engineering has received a ‘mega-grant’ from the Russian Federation.

George Barakos from the Centre for Engineering Dynamics, is amongst the few international experts to receive this grant for leading-edge research in Russia.

He will work with the Kazan State Technical University to establish new experimental facilities for testing helicopters and developing new configurations of vertical flight machines.

“The award highlights the strong commitment of Liverpool to international excellence and shows the influence of the work carried out in the School on the international research scene.”
