The School of Music will be hosting the 10th annual Jane Longhurst Memorial Prize Concert in the Victoria Gallery & Museum.
The concert, which also awards an annual prize, was established to commemorate former University of Liverpool music student and accomplished violinist, Jane Longhurst, who died in tragic circumstances in 2003.
The £200 award will be presented by Mrs Liz Longhurst, Jane’s mother and previous prize winners, plus members of the Chamber Orchestra will come together to perform a range of selected solo and ensemble pieces from the works of Bach, Schubert, Stravinsky and more.
The concert is on Wednesday 17th April at 1pm in the Leggate Theatre, VG&M and is open to the public and free to attend with no booking required.
