GALLERY – Getting ready for Graduation Week

Grad2013-1wLarry Barnes prepares ahead of his fourth year carrying the ceremonial mace. Electrical Engineering Building Manager, Larry,  said: “It’s tremendous. I’d been waiting in the wings for a few years so had to bide my time before I took over. It’s a total gear shift from my usual job. It’s great to see these guys going across the stage and getting their degrees after all the hard work”

Bathed in glorious Liverpool sunshine, the Guild of Students is offering hot food and refreshments, as well as souvenirs and mementos, outside Abercromby Square

This week we celebrate with our online graduates too, many of whom are visiting the city for the first time. University of Liverpool is the largest provider of wholly online degrees in Europe

All this week’s graduation ceremonies take place at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Guests, graduates and their families took advantage of the calm before ceremonies started this morning to take photographs and catch up with friends

With only a limited supply of ceremony tickets available, additional guests can watch the action on a big screen in a marquee erected in Abercromby Square

Let’s hope the sun keeps shining. Congratulations to all our graduates!
