Dr Meredith Belbin visits the University Dr Meredith Belbin, creator of the well-known management theory Belbin team roles inventory, spoke to students, HR professionals and business leaders in the North West at the University. At a breakfast meeting, in association with the CIPD centenary year, Dr Belbin focused on how to improve organisational structures and ensure team effectiveness in today’s ever-changing world. Vast experience Dr Belbin also shared his vast experience and expertise with MSc students from the Management School. He spoke to them about his thinking on traditional hierarchical structures and how to build successful self-managed teams. ”It was a privilege for the most well-known management theorists, Dr Belbin, to come to the University.” Jennifer Johnson, Director of the Management School’s MSc HR programme, said: “It was a privilege for the most well-known management theorists, Dr Belbin, to come to the University.
