The Farmers’ Market will be in University Square on Thursday 8 August from 9.30am until 2.30pm.
It will host a number of stalls which will include a range of locally-produced food including fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, meats and baked goods as well as sustainable catering stalls where people can try a range of fresh food from around the world.
Total Reuse, a community interest company based in Liverpool, will also be hosting a stall to sell some of their statement pieces and tell staff about the collaborative work they are doing with the University.
Total Reuse aims to prevent objects and materials from becoming waste and not needing to be recycled and have already been able to collect nearly 500,000kg of University waste since January.
