A new website has been launched by the Student Recruitment and Admissions Office to give prospective students a behind-the-scenes look at university life in Liverpool.

My Liverpool Story will use the recently produced student departmental videos and student-generated content including blogs and photos, to capture what it is to be a student at the University of Liverpool through the eyes of our current students.

Social media channels

The website, which forms the next stage of the Icon campaign, will encourage engagement through the University’s main social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube).

Whilst the initial focus is on undergraduate students, postgraduates will also be encouraged to get involved and the campaign aims to represent home, EU and international students.

The student blogger of the month will be in with a chance of winning £50 Amazon vouchers, or an iPad Mini for the best blogger of the year.

Emily Bell from the Student Recruitment and Admissions team said: “This is a great opportunity for students to develop their creative skills and improve their CV, and will be a new way for us to show prospective students what’s on offer at our University. The success of the campaign will rest heavily on the students we recruit to help, so promotion across the University is key.”

If you have a student you would like to put forward, or would like more information, please email the team on: mystory@liv.ac.uk.
