Wellbeing project launched for staff and students

????????

A project has been launched to develop a framework for supporting staff and student wellbeing in the University.

Led by Head of Student Services Dr Paula Harrison Woods, the project will develop a framework that will promote the health and wellbeing of staff and students. The framework will set out the University’s aims and objectives for Wellbeing across five areas based on the Health Universities approach, developing a ‘whole university’ approach to health and wellbeing through leadership and governance; communications, information and marketing; academic, professional, personal and social development; facilities and environment; and service provision.

Working groups

Five working groups have developed draft aims and objectives in each of these areas but we would like the views of as many staff and students as possible before we finalise the framework.

A consultation exercise will be taking place with two events on Friday 29 November and Wednesday 4 December, giving staff and students the opportunity to share their thoughts on what matters in relation to wellbeing.

The first open consultation event on 29 November takes place in the Sydney Jones Library between 12pm and 3pm, with the second event taking place on 4 December in the Harold Cohen Library between 12pm and 3pm.

Both events will take place on the ground floor foyer area of each library and the first 50 attendees at each event will be given a voucher for a free drink and snack to say thanks.
