Students who complete the survey online will receive £3 in free print credits to say thank you for taking part
The National Student Survey is now open, giving final year undergraduate students the opportunity to share their views about their experience at University.
Students who are eligible to take part are asked to give their opinion on a number of areas including teaching quality, assessment and feedback on their work, academic support and learning resources. The results, which are published in September, are an important indicator of student satisfaction.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience Professor Kelvin Everest, said: “The results of the NSS are extremely important to the University. The data provides valuable feedback about various aspects of the student experience and is used to guide improvements and address specific issues. The results are also used by prospective students to help them choose where and what to study. Achieving a high response rate is essential in order to generate useful and meaningful results.”
Students who complete the survey online will receive £3 in free print credits to say thank you for taking part. In addition, the department with the highest response rate and the department with the most improved response rate will each win a £500 Graduation Package from Hospitality Liverpool.
‘You Say, We Pay’
The University’s campaign – ‘You Say, We Pay’ – which has been devised in partnership with Liverpool Guild of Students, emphasises the incentives and uses a variety of media including digital, print and outdoor.
The NSS is commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and administered by independent research agency Ipsos-MORI. It is part of a quality assurance system to generate more detailed information about teaching quality.
