Renowned engineering academic, Professor Dame Julia King, is addressing the next meeting of Liverpool Women in Science and Engineering (LivWiSE) , to give her perspective on women in leadership.
Her experience includes 16 years as an academic researcher and university lecturer at Cambridge and Nottingham University, following which she joined Rolls-Royce plc as a senior executive until returning to academia in 2004 and becoming Vice-Chancellor of Aston University in 2006.
Her academic work includes over 160 papers on fatigue and fracture in structural materials and developments in aerospace and marine propulsion technology.
The event takes place on Thursday 26 June, 5.30–7pm, at the Sherrington Building.
