Nanjing Medical University honours Liverpool researchers

Professor John P Neoptolemos from the University’s Institute of Translational Medicine has been made an Honorary Professor and Honorary Advisor for the Pancreas Centre at Nanjing Medical University.

Dr William Greenhalf, Reader and Operational Director of the GCPLabs (LCTU) at Liverpool, was also made an External Advisor of the Biobank of the Pancreas Centre.

Professor Yi Miao, Head of the Pancreas Centre of Nanjing Medical University, said: “Professor Neoptolemos has made a remarkable contribution to pancreatic science. We honour him with this new role for his personal dedication to the scientific exchange between the Universities of Liverpool and Nanjing.

“We are also pleased to welcome Dr Greenhalf to our University as an external advisor; he is one the best international experts and scientists in the field of biobanking and pancreas translational science.”

Nanjing Medical School ranks 56th among the top 100 Chinese universities and was one of the first universities in China to offer an English taught Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme.
