The University has teamed up with Smart Factory Expo, the UK’s biggest digital manufacturing show, which is taking place at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool on 15 and 16 November.
Visitors to the Expo will be able to gain insight on how to prepare for what is quickly becoming a revolution in manufacturing agility, innovation and thinking –‘Industry 4.0’.
Smart Factory Expo attracts thousands of manufacturing executives every year with the biggest selection of Industry 4.0 exhibitors under one roof – and a range of high-tempo activities.
It includes four exhibition zones with 90 exhibitors spread across four key areas: Smart Factory, Industrial Automation, Digital Transformation, Industrial Internet.
Solutions Theatres will enable visitors to learn from some of the biggest names in European manufacturing such as BMW, ThyssenKrupp, JLR, Airbus, Tata Steel and SKF. Attendees can also register for tours of JLR, Alstom, SciTech Daresbury and Liverpool Knowledge Quarter.
A number of free workshops organised by Cambridge University’s Institute for Manufacturing are also taking place – click here for more details.
Visitors will be able to hear from 48 manufacturing tech start-ups as they lift the lid on the future of British manufacturing in Smart Factory Expo’s dedicated innovation zone.
The event will also feature teams of industrial engineers who will be challenged to generate, map out and present their solutions to a key manufacturing challenge, as well as a mentor clinic for free manufacturing advice, provided by Hennik Edge, the consultancy arm of The Manufacturer magazine.
