New Library App launched for students

A new University Library App for iOS is now available to download from the App Store.

The App, which is available for Apple iphones and ipads as well as Android, has been launched following feedback from students around having easier access to the library and some library services.

It provides a number of features to help you including:

  • A virtual ID card to allow you to pass through the entry and exit turnstiles by scanning your phone if you have forgotten your ID card
  • A detailed display of your books on loan, allowing you to see due dates and renew books directly from the app without having to log in each time
  • A function which allows you to request a copy of something that the Library doesn’t currently stock or order more of an existing text by scanning the book’s ISBN directly from the app

You can find out more about the app and provide feedback at: http://libanswers.liverpool.ac.uk/faq/180399.
