More PCs, laptops and colour printers on campus

New PCs, laptops and colour printers have been introduced across campus thanks to your feedback.

There are now 2,944 laptops and PCs available on campus for students and 510 printers. Your digital storage space has also increased. Your email quota is now set at 50GB and secure, fully backed up M: file space has doubled to 20GB.

These changes have been introduced thanks to your contribution to the Computing Services Department’s annual survey of undergraduates and postgraduate students. As part of this survey we asked for your feedback on our IT services.

Commenting on the changes, Director of Computing Services John Cartwright, said: “Student feedback is essential in guiding our improvement plans for IT services at the University. Thanks to everyone who took part in our last annual survey – we look forward to hearing what you think about the changes we have made in the next one.”
