University climbs 10 places in Guardian University Guide 2019

The University has climbed 10 places to 57th in the Guardian University Guide 2019.

Once again, the Guardian has ranked Liverpool as the top place to study Anatomy/Physiology. Other notable subject rankings include Chemistry (2nd), Forensic Science/Archaeology (2nd), Veterinary Science (3rd), Nursery/Midwifery (5th) and Dentistry (7th).

The table is based on the performance of institutions in subject tables, which are put together using nine measures. Measures include course satisfaction, teaching quality and spend per student. Three of the nine measures are taken from the National Student Survey.

Cambridge continue as the top performer in this year’s league table.

Regionally, Liverpool John Moores has risen 31 places to 49th, with Liverpool Hope rising 23 places to 33rd and Edge Hill rising one place to 55th.
