What’s new about the Careers Studio?

We’ve introduced a number of new initiatives and approaches to ensure you continue to receive first-rate careers support during your time with us.

Speaking about these changes, Dr Paul Redmond, Director of Student Experience and Enhancement, explains: “This new model for delivering employability support to students is radically different to what we have done before and sets the blueprint for our ambitions going forward.”

Career Coaches

We’ve trained 16 students to become Career Coaches. Based in the Careers Studio our coaches will work with you on application forms and tell you about all of the career-enhancing events and opportunities we have coming up. Pop in to the Studio to speak to a coach.

CareerConnect

We’ve launched CareerConnect – a programme of events and masterclasses where you can meet and network with employers.

Over 80 CareerConnect events are planned for this academic year and companies like Arup, IBM, Bank of England and AstraZeneca, will be working closely with us to deliver the programme.

You can find details about these upcoming events on CareerHub and via our Careers Studio.

We’ve kitted out the Careers Studio with everything you need to find work, build you career and meet fantastic employers. Plus, while you’re masterminding your way to becoming a titan within your chosen field, you can also charge your phone – always a perk!
