Wellbeing Week: Get involved

Cycling Day Wellbeing Week 2017

Wellbeing Week kicks off next week with opportunities for students and staff to take part in a variety of activities aimed at boosting health and wellbeing.

There are more than 50 free sessions and events taking place throughout the week, which runs from Tuesday, 7 May through to Friday, 10 May. The hugely popular 5k Campus Run is back for 2019, along with falconry, yoga and many other events. To see the full programme, please visit the University’s Wellbeing Week webpages.

Commenting on the events, Deputy President at Liverpool Guild of Students, Hannah Nguyen, said: “Wellbeing Week offers lots of free events and activities that encourage you to take a break during this stressful assessment and revision period. But University can be difficult so if you do need extra support, advice or guidance don’t be afraid to get in touch with the student support team or the Guild advice service.”

There is something for everyone in the programme from undergraduate students, through to postgraduate taught and research students, as well as staff. The celebrated week of events, which is now in it its fourth year, will focus on the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ developed by the NHS:

  • Take Notice
  • Be Active
  • Keep Learning
  • Give to Others
  • Connect

If you choose to take part in an activity this year, or if you would like to keep up-to-date with everything taking place during Wellbeing Week, our official hashtag is: #LivUniWellbeing.
