Share your favourite uni photo to win £150 RyanAir voucher and University hoody

Abercromby Square University of Liverpool

You could win a £150 RyanAir voucher – plus a University hoody, bear and mug – if you share one of your favourite #LivUniMemories with us on social media using the hashtag #LivOriginal.

The judges are looking for photos, videos or quotes that showcase your time at the University. Ideally your content will depict a memory related to your time here – whether that’s a revision break in Abercromby Square or a video from your sports tour. The more original the experience depicted, the better.

How to enter

  1. Find a photo, video or quote that showcases one of your favourite #LivUniMemories
  2. Share the photo, video or quote from your Instagram, Facebook or Twitter account before Tuesday, 2 July
  3. Make sure you include the hashtag #LivOriginal

Our Student Communications team will pick their four favourite entries. The final four photos, videos or quotes will then be posted to the University’s Facebook and Instagram (@LivUni) account, where our followers will be asked to vote for their favourite. The entry with the most vote wins.

Best of luck!

#LivOriginal Photo Competition 2019 Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions for the #LivOriginal Photo Competition 2019.

The #LivOriginal Photo Competition is open to all University of Liverpool (the “University”) students and staff.

Participation in the competition is not compulsory.

If taking part, students and staff must share a photo, video or quote from their social media account using the hashtag #LivOriginal between Thursday, 6 June and Tuesday, 2 July 2019. Postings made after 23:59 on Tuesday, 2 July 2019 or before Thursday, 6 June 2019 will not be considered.

Four finalists will be selected by the Student Communications team at the University by Tuesday, 9 July 2019.

The entries submitted by the four finalists will be posted to the University’s central Facebook (@UniversityofLiverpool) and Instagram (@LivUni) account. The public will be asked to vote for their favourite entry via Facebook and Instagram; using Likes on Facebook and via Poll Stickers on Instagram. The votes from both channels will be combined and the entry with the most votes will win the prize.

There is one prize of a £150 Ryan Air voucher, one University Crested Zip Hoodie, one University Crested soft toy and one University branded Fine Bone China Mug.

The University reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative prize of similar value in the event that the original prize offered is not available.

Only one entry is permitted per person. The winner shall be the owner of the social media account from which the selected winning entry is sent.

Winners will be notified by social media on or before Tuesday, 9 July 2019 by a representative of the University and the necessary contact details will be requested.

If a winner does not provide the relevant details to the University within 30 days of being notified, the University reserves the right to forfeit the prize and the University shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 30 days or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms and conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the University shall be entitled to select another winner.

Where applicable, the prize will be given to winners within 30 days of receiving their contact details.

The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize.

The University accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize that are not expressly included in the prize.

The University shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its data protection policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/legal/data_protection/policy/, and in accordance with data protection legislation.  By entering the competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your competition entry.

Students and staff are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entering the competition.

The University accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of the University under law for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.

The University reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the University in all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The University shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this competition where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

The competition will be governed by English law and students and staff submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
