With venues and leisure attractions closing to help stop the spread of coronavirus, virtual events and activities are becoming more popular. They are a great way to keep entertained, connect with others, and try something new.

Each week we will round up some of the best virtual events and activities you can enjoy while social distancing.

1. VIRTUALCONNECT by Careers & Employability

An extension of the CareerConnect programme, VirtualConnect is a programme of remote events designed to help you stay connected with employers.

2. Lunchtime Concert Series – Spring 2020

In this lunchtime concert the Solem Quartet, University of Liverpool Ensemble-in-Residence, presents two great string quartets of the Classical era.

3. KnowHow: Webinar – Note Taking Techniques

This session will explore some techniques for remaining focused and taking notes when taking part in online lectures or when using online or printed resources.

4. Virtual ‘trips’*

Virtually visit the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, and take a look around the exhibitions.

5. Bongo’s Bingo

Jonny and the team will be bringing you more bingo, more live challenges and ‘dog racing’… straight to your living room!

It’s free to play, all you need is: a pen, paper, UK registered phone and you’re all set!

Sport Liverpool have launched an online activity tracker where you can log any type of physical activity that you do during the COVID-19 lockdown.
