Help us do one million steps in one week

Students and staff are being invited to get involved in Sport Liverpool’s latest health and wellbeing challenge to collectively walk one million steps in one week.

The challenge, which begins today and ends on Sunday 17 May, encourages everyone who can to take some time out of their lockdown routine and go for a walk. You can do it by yourself, with other members of your household or with your pet. You can even do it within your home if you wish – just remember to log your steps.

If you would like to take part all you need to do is log your steps or distance walked each day you are taking part. You can do this by visiting this link.

Make sure you keep up to date and share your progress with @SportLiverpool on InstagramFacebook or Twitter.

How do I calculate my steps?

The easiest way is to get the results from your smart phone or smart watch. If you are unsure where this is on your phone, just google search ‘how to track steps on’ and then your device model. If your phone doesn’t have this feature then there are many pedometer apps available on app stores – search pedometer.

Good luck!
