Assessment results: July 2020

Exam results

Assessment results are being released for final year undergraduate and postgraduate taught students on Wednesday 15 July 2020. All other students’ assessment results will be available on Thursday 23 July 2020.

Our Computing Services Department (CSD) has made some changes to how you will access your results by introducing a brand-new interface with improved functionality in the Student Intranet.

How do I access the new results portal?

The new system can be accessed by logging into the Student Intranet with your MWS username and password. From here you find clear links to the new results portal. Alternatively, you can navigate directly to https://student.liverpool.ac.uk/examresults and log in with your MWS username and password.

Will I still receive a results email?

We are no longer going to be issuing results emails. You will be responsible for logging into the new results portal to view your results.

Please note – the portal will only be accessible after 9am BST on Wednesday, 15 July for final year students, and after 9am BST on Thursday, 23 July for all other students.

How will I know what to do on this new portal?

It’s very easy to navigate. For further guidance on where to go, how to log in, and how to select your modules please watch this short video:

How do I know if the ‘safety net’ has been applied to my average or final degree classification?

The University ‘safety net’ was introduced in the spring of 2020 to ensure that, where possible, students were not disadvantaged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can find full details of the safety net here.

There will be no reference to the safety net in the results portal or your transcripts, but please be assured that if the safety net was applicable then it has been automatically applied to your overall average or degree classification.

Your individual module marks which are displayed have not been altered as the safety net only applies to your overall year average rather than individual module scores.
