Liverpool Responds event to offer advice and insight on new academic year

The University of Liverpool’s online event series, Liverpool Responds returns on Wednesday with a special edition focused on how students will be supported as the next academic year begins.

Liverpool Responds: Supporting Students will be chaired by the University’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Gavin Brown.

Professor Brown will be joined by Director of Student Experience and Enhancement, Dr Paul Redmond; Head of Careers and Employability, Emma Moore; Phil Marsh, the University’s Director of Facilities, Residential and Commercial Services; and Adnan Hussain, Liverpool Guild of Students returning President for 2020/21.

It will be an opportunity for you to hear about the University’s preparations around COVID-19 safety on campus, how the teaching and learning programmes will adapt while maintaining high standards, and details of plans to deliver the best possible student experience in these new circumstances.

After the main discussion, there will be opportunity to ask the panel questions.

The event will be streamed via Zoom and will also be available to view through Facebook Live. It is not necessary to have a Facebook account to gain access and instruction will be provided on registration.

It follows previous very well attended online discussions in the series around rebuilding the Liverpool City Region economy, and how Merseyside scientists are meeting the challenge posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Liverpool Responds: Supporting Students takes place on Wednesday August 12 between 10.30 and 11.30 UK time. To find out more, and reserve your place, please click here
