Festive events and activities to take part in this week

This year Christmas may look a little different, but there are still plenty of events and activities that are guaranteed to get you feeling festive!

1. Festive film screening: Elf

Join Buddy as he embarks on a quest through the seven levels of Candy Cane forest, past the sea of twirly swirly gum drops and into the Lincoln Tunnel in pursuit of his biological father in New York City, as we bring a sprinkle of festive magic to the Mountford Hall, Liverpool Guild of Students.

2. Virtual Pub Quiz – Christmas Special

3. Netflix Parties

Selection boxes at the ready, festive pyjamas on and watch along with your friends from the comfort of your room at a special Christmas Netflix Party – choose from Nativity or Arthur Christmas, or both!

  • Arthur Christmas – Friday, 18 December 6pm

5. Christmas food and drink

In the few weeks running up to Christmas, restaurants, bars and coffee shops across the city have adapted their venues to make sure they are safe for us to visit to celebrate the festive period with our household or support bubble.

6. Virtual Santa Dash

The annual Liverpool Santa Dash is back this year but due to social distancing restrictions it has gone virtual!

The Santa Dash pop-up shop will be open daily for Santa suit collection and registration until Saturday, 19 December. Opening times are Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 5pm, and 11am to 4pm on Sunday. Find the pop-up in Williamson Square.

7. Liverpool Christmas Walking Route

Although Christmas is feeling a little different, in Liverpool it’s definitely not cancelled! Follow this walking route around the city centre to spot all the Christmas trees, twinkly lights and festive sights.

8. Miracle in Sefton Park

This Christmas the Palm House is hosting a Miracle In Sefton Park dining experience. Wrap up and keep snug in tipi tents while you drink mulled wines, hot toddies and steins, and enjoy a specially curated winter menu, complete with background DJs & magical décor.
