Free podcasting and presenting workshop series

Podcasting

Podcasting has become incredibly popular, with more than 6.5 million adults in the UK listening to podcasts every week.

Starting a podcast might sound like a complicated venture, but it actually requires minimal up-front investment, and is surprisingly easy to implement.

The Careers & Employability team have partnered with Liverpool Live Radio to bring students a free five-week podcasting and presenting programme that will take you on a journey to develop the following areas:

  • Market Research
  • How to Interview
  • Recording Techniques
  • Networking and Sales
  • Creating a podcast and pitching it to a Radio Station

On joining the programme, you will be placed in a group of four students to work as a team to develop a new podcast from idea to final product, and then pitch to the experts – with the winners receiving a podcasting kit each to allow you to further develop your ideas, as well as featuring in a Liverpool Live Radio Show.

All participants will also have the opportunity to submit their podcast to the new upcoming university-wide podcast series.

The sessions are scheduled to take place on a Wednesday afternoon for five weeks from 14 April until 12 May.

The programme will be run virtually, and is open to all students from all degree subjects. It is also HEAR Accredited.
