University Hardship Fund now open for the summer vacation

The University Hardship Fund is now open for the summer vacation.

The fund is available to help students who are living independently and are unable to work and have no other source of income.  The fund can help with general living costs, as well as one-off exceptional costs.

Students from the following groups can access the fund:

  • UK/EU/overseas
  • Undergraduate
  • Full & part-time

Applications will be accepted from students who are unable to go home during the vacation, are living independently, and have no other source of income. Students applying to the fund will be expected to provide evidence that they have been looking for paid work during the vacation.

Please note that students who are living in the parental home during the vacation are not eligible to apply.

The fund will be open for applications until Friday 27 August 2021.

For postgraduate students, applications for this year’s University Hardship Fund will close on Friday 16 July.
