The University of Liverpool Careers Fair takes place on Tuesday 18 October from 10.30am to 3.30pm in the Crypt Hall of the Metropolitan Cathedral on Brownlow Hill.
80 companies have been invited to visit Liverpool and meet students from all degree courses and years of study to talk about their internship, placement, and graduate opportunities.
As well as more specialist roles, many of the opportunities are open to students from any degree subject, so it’s well worth coming along as you might just be surprised by the vacancies that you will be able to apply for.
Alongside the stands on the day, we’re also running a series of employer panel talks that will provide you with an insight into the opportunities and a chance to ask questions away from the noise of the main fair. These include:
- What can Liverpool offer me as a graduate
- Charities, NGO’s and the third sector employer panel
- Careers in Law employer panel
- Roles in healthcare and the NHS
- Careers in the Sustainability sector
Why attend the careers fair?
It might seem to be too early in the year to start thinking about opportunities for 2023 and beyond!
One of the main reasons that they are so early in the year is that many of the graduate, placement, and summer internship schemes have already started to accept applications and will stop accepting applications in the next few months – with some of the most popular having deadlines at the end of October.
It’s also a great way of exploring the opportunities available outside the more well known companies. The Careers Fair will feature smaller employers, as well as a stand from the Liverpool City Region Graduate Scheme. If you’re interested in further study then there’s also the opportunity to find out more about postgraduate research opportunities at the University of Liverpool.
