Could you be a Student Change Champion?

Want to make a difference at the University? Want new skills that will look great on your CV? Then why not consider becoming a Student Change Champion!

We are looking to recruit a group of up to 15 current students to work with us on a range of projects exploring different aspects of our student experience – from teaching and learning to our support and advisory services.

We want to involve students in all aspects of university life and our new Student Change Champions will play a critical role in gathering and analysing student feedback, reviewing current ways of working and other key tasks associated with improving the student experience.

Becoming a Student Change Champion will give you the opportunity to learn new skills valued by employers (such as project management, communications and data analysis), boost your self-confidence and gain invaluable experience of working alongside staff at the University.

Plus, this paid-for role is designed to work around your University timetable.

Who can apply?

We are looking to recruit a range of different University of Liverpool students as we want to reflect the diversity of our student community, which includes multiple ethnicities, genders, abilities and disabilities, ages, sexual orientation and lived experiences.

Application process

To be considered for this role, you will need to submit a short covering letter (no more than 1 side of A4) outlining why you would like to be a Student Change Champion and what you can bring to the role, accompanied by an up-to-date copy of your CV.

You will also need to produce a creative response to the question: How have you worked or how would you work with others to identify opportunities for change? You could record your response as a one minute video, write a short blog, design some social media graphics or create some PowerPoint slides. It’s totally up to you!

There are no right or wrong answers to this question – we just want to find out more about you, your experiences and ideas.
