
Are you interested in applying for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) in 2025 and potentially becoming a 3MT University and National UK winner? Join us on Tuesday, 25 March for an expert look at how to prepare a winning entry with expert public engagement specialist Dr Jamie Gallagher.
Dr Gallagher is a seasoned science communicator who is adept at connecting with diverse audiences, having shared his research via stage, radio and TV. He is both a previous International 3MT Competition winner and a FameLab UK runner-up.
Open to all University of Liverpool Postgraduate Researchers, the workshop, entitled Short Talk, Lasting Impression, will explain how to develop a winning 3MT presentation including compelling narratives, designing effective slides, and how to tailor your presentation style to meet the specific requirements of the 3MT Competition!

It is increasingly important to be able to communicate your research in an accessible and succinct style suitable for a range of audiences. The 3MT is a fantastic way to develop these presentation and public-engagement skills whilst also competing for prizes and the prestige of becoming a 3MT winner.
