Attend to discover innovative research being conducted at the University of Liverpool by research fellows from all three Faculties, including from the first cohort of the University of Liverpool Research Fellows.

Under the theme of ‘Collaboration for Impact’, Fellows will showcase their research, highlighting how important and vital their work is to the University and wider society. Research covering key topics from therapeutics, infectious diseases and health to fascinating explorations of heritage and how early humans adapted will be presented, in addition to cutting-edge areas such as particle physics, materials discovery, and sustainability and climate change. Research fellows will be sharing their ground-breaking work on subjects as diverse as crawling bacteria, ambiguous essential workers, 3D printing, snake bite antivenom, El Niño, microbial evolution, and fire safety in urban areas.

In addition to the presentations by research fellows, the Showcase includes a Keynote panel on successfully running collaborative research projects, a workshop on effective research leadership by Thrive, and insights from senior leadership, including the Vice-Chancellor Professor Tim Jones.

There will also be stands from central research-related professional services teams, enabling attendees to identify who to talk to when looking for support with their research, funding, outputs, communications and professional development.

The full-day, in-person Research Fellows Showcase is open to all staff and postgraduate research students, providing an opportunity for all to connect with these future research leaders and with other researchers at a range of career stages.

This truly will be a celebration of the fantastic research community at the University of Liverpool. Register today to be part of this inspirational occasion celebrating excellent research impact!
