It is with great sadness that we report the death of Tracy Carroll who passed away on March 19 2026.
Tracy moved to Liverpool from Dundee in 2002 with her partner, Girvan Burnside from the Department of Health Data Science, and spent 20 years at the University of Liverpool, working first in the School of Veterinary Science and as a tutor in Derby and Rathbone Hall of Residence before joining the Academic Quality and Standards Division as Team Member and PA to the Head of AQSD.
Tracy will be remembered fondly as a kind and supportive colleague, always ready and willing to help anyone in need. Through her time at the University she met many people from all over the world and succeeded in sharing the Scottish vernacular amongst many friends. Tracy will be greatly missed.
Tracy’s funeral will take place at 11.30am on Monday, 20 April, at Springwood Crematorium Springwood Avenue, L25 7UN. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Whitechapel Centre would be appreciated.
