Our Careers and Employability team are running a two-day Year in Industry Bootcamp for prospective Year in Industry students across the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Bootcamp will host a variety of in-person sessions, intended to prepare and support you with the application process of securing an industrial placement.
Date: Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 September 2026
Time: 1 – 3pm
Location: Online webinar
Sessions will be delivered by the Careers and Employabilityteam, past industrial placement students and employers. There will be multiple employer-led panel events, where companies will share insights into their current placement opportunities and how to stand out during the recruitment process.
By registering to attend the Bootcamp, you will receive exclusive access to your school-specific YINI Teams group. Bootcamp will run across two days, on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 September 2026 (the week before Welcome Week). Following YINI Bootcamp, you should feel confident searching and finding placements of interest, having completed the initial stages of the recruitment process and networking with employers.
