New students: 10 boxes to tick before joining us

If it feels like there’s a lot to do before you start university, please don’t worry. We don’t expect you to know everything all at once, and we’re here to guide you through the process.

Right now, there are a few practical things that we need you to complete ahead of joining us. Here at the big three we need you to tackle first:

  1. Activate your student computing account and get access to your University email (you will be asked to set up two-factor authentication in Duo as part of the process).
  2. Start your academic registration. You will have received an email with further instructions about what you need to do, but the link above takes you through all the steps too.
  3. Upload a photo ID for your student card if you haven’t already done so, to ensure you can collect it on campus as soon as possible.

It’s really important that you check all of the above off your list before you arrive.

What else do we need you to do?

  1. Accept your accommodation offer on Liverpool Life if you’ve not already done so. You’ll be contacted directly about this.
  2. Complete your mandatory Consent and Bystander training modules.
  3. Download the My Liverpool App to check out our full schedule of Welcome Week events.
  4. Ensure you have arrangements in place to pay your tuition fees. Find out more about paying your tuition fees.
  5. If you’re moving to Liverpool, register with a GP. Brownlow Health is our on-campus GP service.
  6. International student? Access your eVisa and generate a share code on the GOV.UK website before you travel to the UK.
  7. Get plenty of rest as, once your feet hit campus, the adventure really begins!
