A delegation from Georgia, US visited the University to explore inter-institution collaborations for Faculties and students.
Professor Doris Kadish and Professor Ralph Tripp from the University of Georgia looked at collaborative opportunities with colleagues in Humanities and Social Sciences and Health and Life Sciences, whilst Professor Laren Tolbert from the Georgia Institute of Technology discussed areas of joint interest with Science and Engineering.
The visit also included meetings with Liverpool City Region representatives, Kitty Vogt, Georgia Research Alliance and Kerry Norton, British Consulate Atlanta, who discussed approaches to the development of the knowledge economy.
The Vice-Chancellor visited Georgia last month to sign an institutional agreement.
