Children’s charity Zoe’s Place has received a donation of more than £200 thanks to staff in Facilities Management (FM).
Arthur Garnett, clerical officer in the Estates Strategy team in Facilities Management, decided to commander an old water fountain bottle that had been sitting by his desk and rallied colleagues to throw loose change into the container for charity.
As the bottle filled, Arthur realised he could swell the funds by getting colleagues to guess the total amount.
The big count started and the guesses poured in. A grand total of £213.17was raised.
