Students from Laureate International Universities (LIU) enjoyed a successful summer school project co-ordinated by the Centre for Lifelong Learning.
More than 188 students from Laureate institutions in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Turkey and China had the chance to visit the city, experience another culture and, in some cases, gain credits from their own university which count towards their degree.
The students took part in a wide range of humanities-based modules alongside English Language support and a varied social programme including an expedition to Stonehenge, and visits to Salford, and Chester.
Academic Director of the programme, Brian Davies, from the Department of Politics, said: “Since the pilot programme in 2007 with 28 students, the summer school has grown enormously in popularity and numbers.”
