The 2001 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry for development of chirally catalyzed hydrogenation reactions, Professor Ryoji Noyori, will give a lecture on Monday 4 October, as part of the Science and Society Series.

Exploring the beneficial relationship between science and society, the President of RIKEN and University Professor of Nagoya University, will talk on ‘Science and technology for future generations’.

Lectures are held in the Leggate Theatre, Victoria Gallery & Museum at 5.00pm, followed by a networking reception at 6.00. Both are free, but places are limited.

As part of the visit, an agreement between the University and RIKEN will be signed with the aim of close research collaboration in the future.
