Dr Judith Curran from the Institute of Ageing and Chronic Disease has received the 2010 UK Tissue and Cell Engineering Society’s Early Stage Investigator Award.
The award, which is granted to individuals who demonstrate research excellence at the start of their career in the field of Tissue and Cell Engineering, was presented at the TCES 2010 Annual Conference. Judith received the award in recognition of her research into the development of more efficient and cost-effective cell therapies that will impact on all areas of cell biology and tissue engineering.
Professor John Hunt, Head of Unit at the Institute, said: “We are delighted the significance and success of the research to date has been recognised by Judith receiving this award. It is well deserved and acknowledges the significant contribution of this research within our field of expertise.”
