History of philosophy and art conference

The history of philosophy and art will be explored in a one-day conference organised by the Department of Philosophy and Liverpool Biennial 2010.

Touched: Philosophy Meets Art  is sponsored by the British Society of Aesthetics, the Mind Association, the Royal Institute of Philosophy and the University and will be held in the Victoria Gallery & Museum on Friday 19 November, between 9.30am and 5.00pm.

Speakers include Professor Berys Gaut from the University of St Andrews, Professor Sue Golding from the University of Greenwich, Professor Matthew Kieran from the University of Leeds, Professor Derek Matravers from the Open University, Professor Peter Osborne from Kingston University, London and Dr Panayiota Vassilopoulou, Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy.
