The winning team
Teams from the University of Liverpool and neighbouring Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) battled it out in the first ever inter-University pub quiz.
Held in the Guild of Students, quizmasters Karen Billington, Events and Stewardship Manager and Mark Williams, Head of Alumni Relations at LJMU fired questions on movies, music and general knowledge to 18 teams of graduates from both universities.
The winning team, ‘He’s not the Messiah’ from the University won in a three-way tie and the best team names went to ‘The Chilean Miners’ Mistresses Appreciation Society’ and ‘Quizzy Rascals’.

It was a great night and a fantastic opportunity to rib my JMU counterparts! Good game all round, best of luck to both alumni teams, love the collaborative approach to this and long may it continue!
