The devastating effects of recent earthquakes in Sumatra and the Chilean earthquake was the subject of lecture at the Victoria Gallery & Museum.
Andreas Rietbrock, Professor of Geophysics, spoke about his research, offering an interesting insight and demonstrating some of the tools used to monitor and analyse data gathered worldwide.
The question and answer session was varied, reflecting the breadth of the topics covered and offered a satisfying conclusion to the lecture hosted by Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen Holloway.
