The University is working in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council to find ways to support and increase the equine sector in the Cheshire West area.
Using the expertise of the School of Veterinary Science and the University of Liverpool Management School, the Council’s Rural Agenda & Market Towns team will focus on ways to support the sector to maximise its economic impact and create employment opportunities.
The six-month project will start in January and will be led by Professor John Wilson from the Management School who will work closely with Professor Chris Proudman from the School of Veterinary Science in compiling a comprehensive report on the Cheshire equine industry to help to focus future development policies.
