The ‘Living with Environmental Change’ research theme champions invites all interested researchers to attend a ‘Climate Change and Health’ workshop, which will take place at Ness Gardens, Wirral, on Tuesday June 21, 9am – 4.35pm.
The workshop programme includes talks from Professor David Pencheon, Director of the NHS Sustainable Development Unit, Professor Pim Martens, Chair of Sustainable Development at ICIS, University of Maastricht, and Lancaster University’s Professor Peter Diggle, who will be joining the University of Liverpool in January 2012 as Chair of Statistics and Epidemiology.
The workshop will also include a selection of internal speakers whose presentations will highlight the breadth of cross-Faculty expertise that exists within the University in this important area.
There is also an opportunity for researchers to showcase their research interests in the field of climate change and health, with a morning session being set aside for brief three-minute presentations (one-two slides maximum) to facilitate networking.
The workshop, including lunch, is free to attend, but places are limited, and will be given on a first-come-first-served basis. To register for the workshop, or if you wish to present a three-minute research talk, email Vicki Wood with your details, with ‘LWEC Workshop’ in the subject line or telephone 42666.
