Staff are invited to an inaugural lecture which will explore tensions between producing animal protein at the lowest possible cost and in increasing amounts, and maintaining animal welfare and food safety.
Professor Tom Humphrey from the Institute of Infection and Global Health will deliver his lecture ‘Happy Animals = Safer Food: Intensive Agriculture and Foodborne Disease’ in the Victoria Gallery & Museum’s Leggate Theatre, on Thursday 27 October, at 5.30pm for 6pm.
