Live music at the VG&M for Long Night

John Head will play two acoustic sets

Acclaimed song-writer and  guitarist, John Head, who has performed with celebrated Liverpool bands Shack and The Pale Fountains will be performing in the VG&M’s Waterhouse café as part of Liverpool’s Long Night.

He will perform two acoustic sets at 7pm and 8pm on Liverpool’s Long Night which is on Friday, 19 October   The event is free and open to all.

The galleries and museum will be open for visitors to explore and enjoy. An exhibition by moving image artist, Paul Rooney, is currently on display at the VG&M as part of the Liverpool Biennial 2012.

`Here Comes Franz’ is an exhibition of moving image, sound and text by Liverpool-born artist, Paul Rooney, which explores the passage of time and the relationship between memory and identity.  The exhibition features six recent works by Rooney which focus on the absurd, imagined nature of social and individual remembrance.

Liverpool’s Long Night provides an opportunity to enjoy the city’s visual arts and culture with late openings and special events across Liverpool’s Biennial exhibitions, galleries, museums.
