The University of Liverpool’s Department of Philosophy and the Liverpool Biennial are running a series of workshops to give children the opportunity to explore the meaning and value of art.
The sessions, which are aimed at under 11s, will encourage children to question what they see, make imaginative connections between art and the world, and engage creatively with the art on display.
Learning about art through this philosophical method will help them to be active participants and creative thinkers.
The workshops, which are free, will be held this week at locations around the city on Wednesday, 24 October, Thursday, 25 October and Friday 26 October.
Understanding Art, Wednesday 24 October , 1-2pm at the Cunard Building on Water Street.
