A graduate from the Division of Clinical Psychology has been awarded a prestigious National WellChild Award.
Dr Emma Twigg is a Paediatric Clinical Psychologist at Alder Hey Hospital and was picked from hunderds of nominations from across the UK to win the category of Best Health Professional.
Nominated by her colleague Elaine O’Brien, she received her award at the eighth Annual ceremony at the InterContinental London Park Lane Hotel.
The awards celebrate the courage of children coping with serious illnesses or complex conditions and honour the dedication of professionals who go the extra mile to help sick children and their families.
Emma was one of the stars of the show at the high profile awards ceremony which was attended by many of WellChild’s celebrity supporters, including Royal Patron Prince Harry.
