Staff and students are invited to tour the award-winning Combined Heat and Power plant (CHP).
The CHP, located in the University’s Energy Centre, generates around 50% of the main campus electricity consumption and is vital to achieving the University’s carbon reduction commitments.
Three tours will be given by Peter Birch, Engineering Services Manager, and will start with a talk on energy in the Derby Suite, Foundation Building, from which the University’s solar panels can be viewed, before moving on to a tour of the CHP.
Tours will take place on Monday, 19 November, Tuesday, 27 November and Thursday, 29 November from 12 noon until 1pm.
Staff and students can reserve a place on the tour by emailing sbility@liv.ac.uk. Spaces are limited to 15 per tour, on a first come first served basis.
