Martial arts performance by China Spirit Chinese Cultural Health & Wellbeing Centre

More than 1,500 students, staff, alumni, dignitaries and community groups attended the Lycamobile Chinese New Year Gala 2013 at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall.

Organised by the Liverpool Chinese Students and Scholars Association, the event featured a series of performances showcasing Chinese culture to welcome the Year of the Water Snake.

Those in attendance included Mr Pan Yundong, Consul General of China in Manchester, Councillor Gary Millar, Deputy Lord Mayor of Liverpool, and Professor Michael Hoey, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Internationalisation.
